May 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Toy Story Midway Mania! has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3thgo8pem8). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 17:57, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. You need to consider a lot of things before moving pages. First off, you will need to go back through all linked pages and fix the links to avoid redirects. Make sure you read WP:MOVE before you continue in moving pages on a whim. (GameShowKid)--(talk)--(evidence)--( 16:47, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Roller coaster naming standards[edit]

I've been asked to look at some of your recent page moves, where you insist on putting the resort name rather than the park name in the title of the article as the disambiguation term. This is contrary to the naming conventions used by WikiProject Rollercoasters, which explicitly call for the park name to be used. You certainly meant well, but the fact is there's a policy here which previous editors have agreed on that is to be followed. It will be necessary for an administrator (me, IOW) to revert the moves to the original title. If you disagree with this policy, please initiate a discussion to change it for the reasons you gave at the project talk page rather than making edits in that direction.

If you continue to do so, after having read this note, you will be editing against consensus, which is considered disruptive, and you could be blocked.

Regarding the subtitle for the Space Mountain 2 attraction in Paris, if you have a reliable source for this name change please provide it. Otherwise, that will have to be reverted as well. Daniel Case (talk) 17:03, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

June 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Alpengeist, without good reason. Thank you. Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles as you apparently did to Final Destination 3. Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. 132 21:26, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
